The MEAN WELL XLG series introduces BIS and EN 60335-2-24/-2-89 certificates
XLG series LED power supplies are a new product line from MEAN WELL that offers high quality, reliability and efficiency for lighting applications. These power supplies are available in power ranges from 25 to 320 W and output voltages from 12 to 54 V. These power supplies feature constant power mode, voltage and current regulation, dimming and current lock functions, as well as a wide operating temperature range from -40 to +60°C.
The XLG series power supplies are designed in accordance with the latest safety and environmental standards, such as UL 8750, EN 61347-1, EN 61347-2-13, EN 62368-1, EN 55015, EN 61000-3-2, EN 61000-3- 3, EN 61000-4-2, EN 61000-4-3, EN 61000-4-4, EN 61000-4-5, EN 61000-4-6, EN 61000-4-8, EN 61000-4-11 , EN 61547, GB 4943.1, GB 17625.1, GB 17743, GB/T 15144. These power supplies also have CE, CB, ENEC, TUV, RCM, PSE, KC, BIS, EAC, CCC, and other certificates, which allows them to be sold and use worldwide.
Additionally, MEAN WELL is pleased to announce that it has obtained new certificates for the XLG series of power supplies. In order to ensure even wider possibilities of use of the XLG series, this series has been certified to EN 60335-2-24/-2-89 AGD. The series complies with dual certification for home appliances and lighting, which not only can ensure user safety, but also allows system or device manufacturers to speed up the verification process by reducing the number of test items.
Certificates for individual countries:
CE marking:
This certificate is mandatory for products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA). Indicates compliance with EU safety, health and environmental standards.
UL Register:
If you are in the United States or Canada, UL (Underwriters Laboratories) certification is required. Ensures that the product meets UL safety standards.
CB certificate:
Certification issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) for electrical equipment that meets the safety standards of participating countries
ENEC certificate:
A certificate indicating that the product complies with European standards (EN) for electrical safety and performance.
EN 60335:
a series of safety standards relating to electrical household and similar appliances. These standards cover various aspects of the safety of electrical equipment used in domestic and commercial settings.
BIS Certificate:
Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is an organization responsible for setting standards and ensuring the quality, safety, and reliability of various products in India. BIS certification is primarily voluntary, but for certain products, compliance with Indian Standards becomes mandatory under specific considerations such as public interest, health, safety, environment, and national security
CCC mark:
For products sold in China, the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) mark is required. Includes safety and quality requirements.
TUV certificate:
The TUV certificate is recognized worldwide and indicates compliance with German safety standards.
