Description of the DUPS-40 power supply:
The DUPS-40 power supply by MEAN WELL is a UPS module for a DIN rail, which, combined with an external battery, creates an emergency power supply system. Designed for 24V systems, it is able to handle a load current of up to 40A. It has a built-in battery test function and protection against reverse battery connection. LEDs and relay connectors provide information on DC power status, battery failure and low battery status. A special feature of this power supply is a permanent parallel connection between the battery inputs of the power supply (DUPS does not have a power supply function) and the load. This device is ideal for applications in data centers, emergency lighting and central monitoring systems where switching time is crucial - this controller has zero switching time, always supplying current directly from the battery
